Google refreshed their algorithm on May 22nd. It implemented Penguin 2.0. But this is the time to lets know about the SEO link building practices which are not working or making positive effects on website PR and Keyword Ranking after this update.
Penguin 2.0 Effects on Link Building
Here I am posting major practices which really not working anymore in link building:
Bookmarking – Lately it was most effective but now creating new accounts on different websites and bookmarking your site links in non branded and non trusted sites do not work.
Articles marketing – It’s better to stop this.
Web 2.0 – If you are a SEO guy who keep creating web 2.0 properties for your sites and have only links back to your website, uses spun or a single article in as many web 2.0 sites as you can? Then forget it.
Directory Submission – Now searching and submitting your website in general directories even with decent PR is waste of time.
High PR Profiles (Forum profiles or Angela and Paul Backlinks ) – It’s like you shooting on your own foot.
Tired link building – Bamboozling your tier 2 links with SE Nuke do not work.
Private Network Blog – A private blog network that is open for public do not work.
Press Release – A press release without any proper news do not work.
Guest Blogging – These are almost similar to article submission. Guest blogging on generic blogs do not work.
Oh! It seems like almost all the methods commonly used for link building are thrown out of door. Is there still anything we can do to build links for our site? Of Course Yes, we can. Google don’t hate SEO or backlinks, but the point is these needs to be earned or built naturally.
I am analyzing other phase and techniques which are working well in this competitive SEO market. I hope I will post it by this weekend. So check me after a week.
Also your comments and thoughts are invited so that we can reach upto more specific results.
